Did you know that there is an increasing preference for plant-based menus among Gen Z students? In fact, plant-based menus and more was the focus at the 2018 CIA Healthy Kids Collaborative Annual Meeting. School foodservice operators and industry members from across the country met to discuss and learn about this new trend in school meals. A lot of inspiring ideas for menu items came out of this collaboration, including some featuring Gen Z’s favorite veggie, the potato¹!
