Stewed Pork Ribs with Potato

  • 1# (453.59 g) Pork Spare Ribs, diced into cubes
  • 8 oz (226.8 g) Frozen Half Shell Potato cut into same size as ribs
  • 1.76 oz (50 g) Rock candy
  • 2 oz (56.7 g) Sliced Ginger
  • 2 oz (56.7) Crushed Garlic
  • 2 tablespoons (6 g) Soy Sauce
  • 1 tablespoons (3 g) Chinese Five Spice
  • 2 tablespoons (6 g) Shaoxing Cooking Wine

Preparation

  1. Boil the pork ribs and then drain the ribs. Set Aside.
  2. Add 2 tablespoon of canola oil into a wok. Bring up the wok to a medium high heat. Add in the rock candy to dissolve and slightly turn to a caramel color.
  3. Add back in the boiled ribs, ginger, garlic, and stir-fry to coat well.
  4. Add soy sauce, wine, Chinese five spice, and about 1 cup of cold water. Cook for 5 minutes on medium heat.
  5. Reduce to thicken. Then add in the diced half shell potato into the wok and coat the potatoes.
