Potatoes for potato salad can be steamed to cut down on cook time. Either place the potatoes in a steamer or place a steamer insert into a large stockpot. Place the potatoes in the pot and fill with just enough water to come up to the bottom of the steamer insert. Heat over medium-high heat and cook for 15-20 minutes or until the potatoes are fork-tender.
